Tuesday, 27 July 2010

Gemserv is pleased to announce the publication of its report on behalf of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) assessing the options and practical implications of whether the minimum requirement for all gas meters should include a valve to allow remote enablement / disablement.

Gemserv’s final report can be accessed here. Chief Executive David Thorne commented that Gemserv was pleased with the extent of stakeholder engagement and co-operation with this process, which has enabled us to deliver an independent, robust and evidence-based assessment of the issues around the inclusion of a valve in gas smart meters.
