Gemserv's origins reach back to the deregulation of the retail electricity industry in the 1990s. The Company gathered great experience in overseeing what is now the world's most active retail electricity market. That hands-on expertise is now being transferred in the further development of the retail gas market. These skills are highly relevant to other industries from the public sector to financial services. Gemserv's roots are in the energy industries and the majority of staff have a strong energy industry background. Gemserv's shareholders include the UK's major energy suppliers.
